CITY OF BYRON PRESS RELEASE On Thursday May 12, 2011 officers with the Byron PD arrested 22 year old Trista Halstead of 4001 Hwy 41 Lot 58 for the hit and run accident that happened on May 10, 2011. Ms Halstead is being charged with: No Insurance, Driving Without A License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Stop and Render Aid. Detectives with the Byron Police Department were able to locate video and identify Ms Halstead as the driver of the vehicle. The vehicle was a burgundy 2002 Dodge Intrepid. Ms Halstead is being held at the Peach LEC waiting to make bond. released May 12, 2011 |
CITY OF BYRON The Byron Police Department is investigating a hit and run accident that happened around 1200 hrs this afternoon (05-10-2011). Officers of the Byron Police Department responded to Georgia Highway 49 South at Fresh Way Market where a motorcycle driver was hit by an unknown make and model car that is suspected of being red in color with tinted windows. The red in color vehicle should have some black in color paint transfer on it as well as some possible tire rub marks on the front passenger side bumper. The motorcycle driver was transported to Macon Medical Center without life threatening injuries. Traffic Investigators are looking for anyone with information that could assist with investigation.
